Description: Albasol 200 mg tablet is formulated with albendazole, a broad-spectrum antihelminthic agent. It is primarily utilized as a dewormer for the eradication of various parasites, including Pin-worms, Whip-worms, Ascaris Lumbricoides, Hookworms, and Tapeworms. Usage: For individuals over 2 years of age, the recommended dosage is 400 mg (equivalent to 2 tablets) taken all at once for the treatment of pin-worms, whip-worms, hookworms, and ascaris lumbricoides. In the case of strongyloidiasis and taeniasis, the recommended dosage is 400 mg (2 tablets) taken once daily for a duration of 3 days. Precautions: Albasol tablets should not be taken by individuals with hypersensitivity to the benzimidazole class of drugs, of which albendazole is a member. Common side effects associated with the medication include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, itching (pruritus), and nausea.
